I would recommend Chris and his colleagues at the Car Doctor for honest and reasonable car repair. I found the Car Doctor from previous positive postings on Yelp. Yesterday was my first visit to the Car Doctor for inspection of my Honda Odyssey. It was very easy to schedule an appointment on line, and Chris emailed me back immediately confirming my appointment. Chris was quite honest and direct about what procedures I would need to keep the Odyssey in good condition (timing belt, struts, and from brakes). He runs a very busy shop and the customers that he interacted with with while I was waiting were quite satisfied and comfortable. I brought my car in at 8:05am for the oil change inspection, and road test, and I was out of the shop by 9:00am.

These guys are very honest, capable, and nice. After another mechanic told me that I needed $1400 in repairs, most of it immediately, I brought the car here for a second opinion. They told me that it didn't need anything done right away, and there was one thing the other mechanic had said needed to be done right away that I should just keep an eye on in the future. They didn't even charge me!
That was a year ago. All I've had to do since is change the battery, and another mechanic in my new city just gave it a clean bill of health.

I'm one of those over protective car people. I park a mile away from where I'm going, I don't drive in San Francisco, and I would rather park my own car than give it to valet. You know what I mean.
That said, I only feel comfortable bringing my car to The Car Doctor. Not only is Gary a pleasure to talk with, but most importantly, they do good work. Period.
